Give the Gift of Presence Not Presents

Give the Gift of Presence Not Presents

So you find yourself single and it’s the holiday season.  Feeling lonely or more likely ‘alone’? Are you wondering how you should act different or if you should act different at all? The dreaded thought of starting up something new can bring on major anxiety. There seems to come this unspoken burden during the holiday season that people want gifts. Well, there are all kinds of gifts you can give to someone. Some people hesitate to date or start a new relationship during the holidays because they don’t feel right about spending money on a gift for someone they are just getting to know. Here’s the deal, date anyways! Think of your mere presence as a gift, as is theirs to you.

Find fun over the holidays. Get out and meet people. Accept invitations to house parties, drop into the local pub, strike up a conversation while shopping! Be brave and ask someone out. Ask them to go out dancing, go skating, take a walk on the beach or in the snow (depending on where you live).  Going out doesn’t have to be expensive.  There are plenty of ways to create a romantic, holiday atmosphere without burning a hole through your pocket. One sure safe way to start dating and get to know someone a bit is to just simply ask them out for coffee or a holiday drink. Be careful not to drink too much of course for many obvious reasons.  The idea is to have fun. Who knows where it will lead. You will either end up with a very safe date or a wildly passionate and spontaneous occasion.

If you are one of those people who dread dating over the holidays, start changing your mindset. Buy yourself a new outfit, maybe try a new hairstyle and get out there and make it happen. The holidays can be a magical time of year for falling in love.  When you finally go out on your date, be yourself. Don’t overdo it. Don’t try to impress. Let the conversation flow naturally and impress them by being your lovable, fun and possibly sassy self. If it works out you’ll find yourself going out with them again; if not, you will have created a new holiday memory. This holiday season don’t sit home and wish you had someone special, instead go out and make the holidays special for you and if all goes well, it will be special for someone else. Don’t worry about having to buy material gifts; focus on giving the bests gifts of all: time, kisses, hugs, hand holding and the gift of presence not presents. Get out and enjoy!

HOW TO MEASURE

Kinkster NYC Sizing Chart

The best way to determine size is to measure one of your favorite fitting shirts first and comparing to our approximated size charts.

WIDTH: The body width is measured by laying the shirt flat on it's back, keeping it free from wrinkles, and measuring from one arm pit to the other arm pit.

LENGTH: The body length is measured from neck seam to the bottom of the T-shirt.

APPROXIMATE CHEST: Measure under arms around the fullest part of the chest. Be sure to keep tape level across back and comfortably loose.
