How to Survive NYC’s Subway

How to Survive NYC’s Subway

"If you make it here (NYC), you can make it anywhere" is an understatement. NYC is one of the toughest cities to live in. Although it’s where we're based we're proud to call it home, it’s a place with character; the kind of character that attracts all types of people.

When you say you are from New York people are instantly attracted to you; attracted to you for all the wrong reasons. Their curiosity about the city that never sleeps takes over and their game of 21 questions begins. "Do you know such and such” is an odd question but common and one we find to be the most amusing.

When asked what it feels like to live in New York City it’s hard to describe. New York City is a colorful city, a beast that eats up the weak; it’s a place of survival.

One place where you find out who is weak and about to be kicked off the island from the survivors is on New York’s subway system. Riding the subway system is an experience to say the least, especially during rush hour. Whether you live in NYC or are just visiting, riding the iron horse will leave you feeling under attack.

We recently discovered a YouTube video, “How to Survive NYC’s Subway” by Glove and Boots. This YouTube video tickled us because survival mode is exactly how you feel after a ride on the long and wild underbelly of the city.

HOW TO MEASURE

Kinkster NYC Sizing Chart

The best way to determine size is to measure one of your favorite fitting shirts first and comparing to our approximated size charts.

WIDTH: The body width is measured by laying the shirt flat on it's back, keeping it free from wrinkles, and measuring from one arm pit to the other arm pit.

LENGTH: The body length is measured from neck seam to the bottom of the T-shirt.

APPROXIMATE CHEST: Measure under arms around the fullest part of the chest. Be sure to keep tape level across back and comfortably loose.
