A Nostalgic Look at Gay Neighborhoods

A Nostalgic Look at Gay Neighborhoods

The life of a gay male has seen its highs and lows; a life filled with memories, friends and experiences that have created extraordinary men. The gay lifestyle and LGBT community is enriched with history and the center of our community is our neighborhoods.

From Boystown, Cheslea, West Hollywood and the Castro our neighborhoods are a critical part of establishing community and author Donald F. Reuter is someone captures that essence in the GAYBORHOOD, his 2008 book. It’s a nostalgic look at gay neighborhoods.

As the gay community evolves it’s important to nurture our history. Whether you’re African-American, Native Indian or are from a culturally enriched nationality it’s important to pass down your history to the younger generation.

GAYBORHOOD is a book that chronicles the evolution of gay neighborhoods in a dozen U.S. cities and a great coffee table book or gift. We highly recommend this book. It's the perfect gift. We  guarantee

GAYBORHOOD is a book you or the person you gift it to will treasure.

Author Donald F. Reuter is also author of the of GAY-DAR: The Ultimate Insider Guide to the Gay Sixth Sense and the Gay-2-Zee: a Dictionary of Sex, Subtext, and the Sublime.
