A New Way to Think About Kinkster

Influences for COREY WESLEY the creator and founder of the emerging brand, Kinkster NYC, are New York, Music, Sex and Fashion. When asked who or what inspired him to create Kinkster NYC, he responded, "When it comes to fashion, gay men have been my source of inspiration. They have always been considered fashion-forward individuals and responsible for creating a wave of fashion trends."

While developing the brand, Giorgio Armani and Tom Ford are two designers who inspired WESLEY, particularly for what they've said. Wesley says these three quotes act as his inspiration bible.

The first is a Giorgio Armani quote, "I've always thought of the T-shirt as the Alpha and Omega of the fashion alphabet." The second quote is, “I believe that my clothes can give people a better image of themselves - that it can increase their feelings of confidence and happiness."  Wesley adds, "I guess that's why I love t-shirts so much, and why I felt it was time for a sex-positive brand, offering sex-positive apparel that gives gay men better images of themselves sexually. I was tired of being referred to as a nasty pig!“

The final quote comes from Tom Ford, Wesley's all-time favorite designer. He recalls watching a documentary about Ford and something Ford said is Wesley's daily mantra, "You should do something first and then talk about it." You can talk things up to a level where they can't possibly live up to people's expectations, so do something first.

It appears these quotes did more than inspire WESLEY, they helped him shape and mold his vision.
